What It Is
The New England Angler Challenge, sponsored by the New England Outdoor Life Podcast, is an all-summer-long virtual fishing tournament open to anyone fishing in New England. Anglers log their catches from any freshwater location in New England, anytime from May 1 to September 30.
Entry Fee
$40 entry fee for the entire summer
One-time entry covers everythingβno extra category fees
Possibilities for separate special one-off tournaments, but this $40 covers this tournament for the whole summer
What You Can Win
$500 cash grand prize (and growing) for each of the 4 different species: Brown trout, lake trout, bass & Northern pike. Largest fish in each category all summer gets a minimum of $500 guaranteed by 3rd Alarm Charters
Win a Charter: Top spot in the leaderboard for the following will win 1 of 4 charters:
June β Brown Trout
July β Lake Trout
August β Bass
September β Northern Pike

How It Works

Download the FishDonkey app (free) β all catches are logged there
Fish anywhere in ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI β boat, shore, kayak, ice (if you can find some this summer), etc.
Use the app to take a photo of your fish on a bump board, submit the entry, and it's automatically judged

Key Rules (Simple Version)
Follow the Fish Donkey app rules
Fish must be measured on a bump board (like Ketch or Frabill)
Submit entries through the FishDonkey app
You can log as many fish as you want β your best scores count
Open to anglers of any level
